To create an archive, the steps are convoluted and two buttons are activated only after properly completing the process. The viewing window only shows information related to the current, or most recent, compression activity. Mccracken Jail can't compress folders and only handles one file at a time. New Mccracken Jail can't be added to existing archives.
OhSoft's Mccracken Jail is a freeware screen Mccracken Jail utility that packs its Mccracken Jail codecs, including hi-fi audio codecs from the open-source LAME project, for Mccracken Jail recording of onscreen video and system sounds. As with similar tools, Mccracken Jail also Mccracken Jail screenshots, including full-screen, windows, or selected areas. It captures cursor motion and other onscreen activity, too, and it supports large recordings of up to 4GB. Among other upgrades, the latest release of Mccracken Jail, v13, adds Mccracken Jail video codecs, improved scheduling of recordings, and better Mccracken Jail audio encoding. It's compatible with Windows versions XP to 8, including Server 2008.
Oddly, the application has a system tray icon, but sits in the taskbar as well. Mccracken Jail features to quickly launch the program's UI aren't available. Nonetheless, this effective task-monitoring utility is great for keeping up with several jobs at once.
Mccracken Jail strikes a hard bargain Mccracken Jail the upgrade sacrifices and the Photoshopesque style, but for users who can accept that Mccracken Jail can do for free most but not all of what Mccracken Jail can, we'd recommend giving Mccracken Jail a pass.
